You must have checked a wrong box earlier on. That question is only
asked if you say you want to travel with someone who has already
bought a ticket.
Otherwise they show you a diagram and ask you to pick the seats you
want. However, don't count on getting what you asked for. For some
reason, when my husband and I travel, they usually put us one behind
the other, or on opposite sides of the aisle, no matter what I
requested. The last time I was on the Eurostar, I noticed that the
seat numbering system was very peculiar. It seemed to be almost
random, until you noticed that there really was an odd sort of
pattern. I think the internet program just hasn't figured out the
pattern.
I usually manage to effect a trade in my immediate vicinity to get us
together again.
