There's a strong environmental argument for not driving either. One
difference is that many car journeys could be made in other ways, but
there's only one way to, er, fly to Venice for the weekend. You're
really not the person best placed to be putting forward this view. Oh,
and _that's_ why I bring up cars whenever you bring up planes, because,
as you yourself admit, there's a lot more of the former, they make a lot
more noise, and annoy a lot more people. If I felt you were serious in
any way about limiting car use, then I'd listen to what you say about
planes. (I support increased taxes on flying by the way.)
