Herself and I have booked flights to Berlin at the beginning of
November. As so often with us, we are unprepared -- although we do
know enough about the climate to pack suitably, as we have been in
central Europe in winter before.

At this stage, I am looking for suggestions about where we should stay
-- not necessarily a particular hotel, but what part of the city. I
imagine we will want to be near a good transport node, within easy
walking distance of some reasonable restaurants, and be well-placed
for some indoor tourism. Not too noisy would be good.
