It is certainly interesting to the people who come by bus.
A number of years ago I was one of five on a trip to Paris and we had
booked a hotel that turned out to be in Pigaille. It certainly seemed a lot
seedier than I had remembered it from a previous trip. One of the party was
afraid to leave the hotel. I didn't understand the fear. The large number
of buses and thousands of tourists walking the streets did not seem to have
a problem with their security. I still have the video shot from my hotel
window with Sacre Couer in the skyline, the interesting architecture of the
buildings across the street and then panning down to the . shops along
the sidewalk. It was quite interesting to walk along some of the side
streets on the north as the shops were opening.
