I'm still partial to the old "West Berlin" between the am Zoo Bahnhof
and the Blaukirche or along Kurfurtendammstr "Ku'damm". The streets
are smaller and more intimate with the sidewalk cafes rather than the
east side with all the spanking new big hotels. And the Zoo train and
ubahn station is convenient and the Zoo fun to visit for the bear
who's getting a little older now. Look at the Lidner am Ku'Damm, the
Palace Hotel on Budepesterstr as a couple of examples.
