Oh, OK. I suppose that kind of error wouldn't affect me as much, as I
wouldn't be driving, and I certainly wouldn't use the guidebook to
ascertain where an airport was. I've used both guides in the past, but
don't remember where! As a non-driver, I usually find Let's Go better
than most at giving public transport alternatives. Cadogan's general
advice for buses on Sardinia was pretty good (i.e. always turn up early
as the buses will frequently leave early) and I could get good timetable
information at the tourist information offices. I sometimes get strange
looks from people when I ask them directions to places by walking...

Given the subject header, I'm reminded that Rick Steve's book on Germany
gave us an excellent recommendation for zimmer in Bacharach...

While it's certainly not a map- I also find google earth very useful
indeed. For example, most recently, it meant that when I got off the bus
in Alghero at the 'wrong' stop, I still knew exactly where the hotel
was, just from the layout of buildings.
