I thought so, too - until our "Democratic" Congressmen
claimed one point of view and voted another, in the session
prior to their summer recess. Now I'm not sure it will make
much difference! Both parties seem to consist of
power-hungry politicians who have no problem selling
personal integrity in return for financial support of the
next campaign for re-election. (The "good of the country"
and "the will of the people" run a very distant second when
it's a question of retaining personal power.)
