Subject: Paris prices Posted on: Thu, 4 Oct 2007 11:10:27 -0400

Just came back from trip to my favorite city, Paris. The euro cost $1.41
US which was bad for us but I still don't understand how all the
stores/shops survive. We were in St. Germain area near Bon Marche and
many other beautiful shops but no one was in them, nothing was being
sold. How do they stay in business?
After mass @ Notre Dame two of us had a cup of coffee at a nearby cafe,
14 euros!
A coke on Rue Rivoli at a crepe stand cost 5 euros (I was desperate!).
I know these are obvious tourist traps but still VERY high. The metro
was the best buy in town but I still love Paris.
