The Edmonton Journal for Thursday 4 october 2007, reports on yet another
crooked Edmonton cop.
Constable Scott Mugford was on probation with a suspended sentence from
October 2002 to October 2004. According to admitted facts, Mugford had
punched his wife twice, spat on her, picked her up by the throat, and
slammed her into a kitchen table.
Mugford was charged with criminal assault, and then released on condition
he have no further contact with his wife.
This crooked cop then again assaulted his wife two weeks later.
Further Mugford also forged his wife's signature on bank documents,
which he admitted at a police disciplinary hearing in December 2004.
Now, Alberta Justice are refusing to prosecute this crooked cop, claiming
it would not be in the public interest.
In other words, a cover up for crooked cops in Edmonton.
No justice for the victim either.
And the imported police chief allows this, all the time.
