I have not done that but I'm sure that you can find it. The daughter of a
friend just spent a couple of months in Italy, almost entirely visiting
organic farms. They didn't just show up on the bus and tour the farms, they
lived and worked on them learning techniques and crops from the farmers. So,
if you keep looking I'm sure you can find a group or just do it on your own.
As for cultural attractions; Rome, Florence, Naples, Venice, Verona. It's
everywhere you look. Pick a city. If you like to walk, you'll love Italy.
One day we set out from the center of Rome and walked from Bernini to
Bernini until we ended up in the Villa Doria Pamphilj, then we caught a taxi
back. OK, it was only about 5 km as the crow flys but we took a very
round-about route.
Good luck. Keep checking back here
