Yes, oh dear indeed, you could easily have clarified you meant 8 to my
10 but didnt. The advantages of drive/ferry are still however the
same, luggage, car and the fact that the ferry time is a combination
of quality holiday time and sleep, you dont seem to want to see that.
Just more so if you do it in 8, which you probably can't nowadays with
cameras everywhere. (you would have to >average< above the NSL, which
i never guessed you would advocate!!! and the stretch from Glasgow
isnt even NSL and covered with cameras)
