great thanks both. yeah i'm more of a city person, but I'm also into
exploring nature parks, seeing animals, hiking, etc. i'm not a huge
beach person, i like to be doing stuff and meeting people or walking
around taking in local culture. manuel antonio and quepes sound like
interesting towns, i realized they are touristy, but i'll be going in
late april or early may, and from what i've read the crowds aren't too
bad then.
since we had a great trip to mexico city and buenos aires last fall my
significant other wants something a little more mellow and quieter
(than big cities), and i'd like to go somewhere other than mexico, so
i think costa rica would be great for this
thanks again -- oh and i always get a LP or guidebook at my library,
they have some really good up to date ones.
