For "original" I may suggest where I went several years ago.
It certainly was clearly "original" and essentially
untouched then. I hope it is still as wonderful.

This is the eastern slope of the Andes in Ecuador. It is not
expensive once you get there, but getting there is somewhat
"fun" and not necessarily cheap, though cheap is possible if
you like bus rides over the Andes. It's not difficult, however.

I was truly impressed by the quality of the jungle I saw
there, clearly the best I have seen, and this includes
Corcovado in Costa Rica. They have jaguars, which you may
actually see.
