Subject: Re: Recommended hotel / snorkeling West Bay Beach Roatan? Posted on: Wed, 08 Mar 2006 04:45:11 EST

Not sure why but I just get a gut feeling that Westend is not what you
your looking for.

Guanaja could be and here is a place that comes with a good solid
recommendation -- http://www.westpeakinn.com/

However, you can also get what you want without crossing to the islands.
Right near LaCeiba is http://www.cocopando.com/. It is run by Charlie
Meador whose life purpose seems to be making folks satisfied.

If you do go to Westend I would suggest Half Moon Bay Cabins -
http://www.halfmoonbaycabins.com/ . It is at the quiet end of town away
from the bars (still only a five minute walk) and has some of the best
snorkeling right off it's dock.
