Alan -

West Bay Beach is your best beach area but you will have to put up with
cruise ship days. The weather in May is generally great. Taking the
ferry over is a nice trip. Check out hotel references at the Roatan

Guanaja is accessible only by air. Its a beautiful place and I agree
with Ron on the West Peak Inn recommendation.

You'll enjoy the Lodge at Pico Bonito as well.
