One thing I meant to mention to anyone who is thinking of going to the
Palaces.
There is a big difference between the Palace hotels in Can Cun ( The
Hotel district or strip ) and the ones on Riviera Maya .
We stayed at the Moon Palace in 2002, It was one of the nicest places,
friendly staff, food was great ( 10 restaurants ) and the largest pools
I have ever been in ! Actually, there are TWO large pools .. You can
visit any of the other Palace Hotels, at the time, Adventura was just
opening, but we went to the Hotel district in CanCun and I believe they
have Three there, Sun Palace, Beach Palace and one more i can't
remember the name.
It was like night and day. The pools at those Hotels were postage
stamps compared to the Pools at the Moon Palace.. Only a couple of
restaurants in each. The only thing I did like about those hotels is
that the Ocean water was much nicer.. Moon Palace is situated on the
Curve as you go away from CanCun and Toward Riviera Maya, and they had
a storm a few weeks before, and said that part of the sea was still
unsettled.
I am really curious if anyone has stayed at the Moon Palace in 2005 or
2006 so far .
Thanks,
Jerry
