10 days in Peru will give you a chance to see a lot without having to
rush.
I am sure that you can do both Peru and Chile but you will have to have
a well planned itenerary for yourself and stick to it.
As far as the danger goes.. Yes it can be dangerous in S. America.
However if you do not flaunt that you have a lot of money then nobody
will bother you. Leave all of your jewellry behind and you will be ok.
