There are many Tango shows, most of them primarily geared to tourists
("tango for export"). Places like Señor Tango or El Viejo Almacen. These are
usually slick, yet professional dinner shows. A more authentic experience
would be a Milonga, a (weekly) Tango night, usually held in social clubs,
café's or dance halls. Locals come here for practicing their skills and
having a good time. If you feel like it you can have a go at it yourself.
Most Milongas start around 10pm, some of them have Tango classes an hour
before. We visited Niño Bien in the Constitucion district. Others are La
Viruta (Palermo), Ideal (Centro) .

There are websites with comprehensive and up-to-date information on both the
shows and the Milongas. like www.tangodata.com.ar
