Miami to La Paz return with Lloyd Aereo Boliviano costs about USD740.
Dallas to Miami with a loco such as airTran comes in at around USD300.

A price of USD1,100 with a major carrier therefore seems fairly reasonable.

La Paz is a comparatively expensive place to fly to.
For example, Dallas to Lima can be probably had for USD750.
But then Lima to La Paz will probably be another USD350.
