Peru is great. I would spend no time in Lima. Lake Titicaca is fantastic.
Feel free to check out the images from my trip.

I would do Cuzco and Machu Picchu for 6 days and then head to lake
Titicaca for two. I stayed at Lake Titicaca for two days and it cost me
$20. It was great.
