Subject: Study Abroad Experience and Perspective of Monterrey Mexico Posted on: Mon, 5 Jun 2006 23:35:57 +0000 (UTC)

Hello,

I=B4m not sure if anyone here has visited or is planning on visiting
Monterrey, Mexico. I=B4m a student from San Antonio, Texas, not too far
away from Monterrey, Mexico. Actually my friends questioned me why I
was "studying-abroad" in Monterrey since it=B4s so close (about 5-6
hours). Anyhow, make a long story short, Monterrey has been great but
I myself was having a hard time finding resources about Monterrey and
the whole experience.

These past six months I have kept an ongoing blog from a somewhat
professional point of view over the cultural differences and major
topics that someone might have questions about in Monterrey. Since
I=B4m a college student, some of the posts do cover University material,
but other posts are in relation to local politics, United States
stereotypes, taxi=B4s, mass-transit system, relative prices, exchange
rates, etc.

The link to the blog which after I leave Monterrey I=B4m still planning
on keeping up is:

I hope someone finds it useful.
