My experience is that North Face stuff is durable, and best of all, very
well designed, the details are well thought out, etc. I can't say that
for most brands.
I guess what I am saying is the closer you look, and the more you live
with North Face gear, the better you will like it. I can't promise that
is the case for all of their gear, but that is my personal experience.
I often modify equipment to make it better, or meet my needs. But I
don't modify North Face stuff, no need.
