If he wants Mexican decor, he should be able to find it locally. If he
wanted the Scandinavian look, it might be more of a challenge, and a
trip to the nearest large city might be in order. Lazaro Cardenas is two
hours away, Acapulco about 5 hours.

I would just ask local people where to find the kind of furniture that
he is looking for. You might be able to find a local craftsman who
would make whatever they are looking for, but you would have to ask around.

Furniture is best bought locally. Only a resident of Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo
could help you, tourists and travelers don't buy furniture.
