Subject: Costa Rica Green Home Design/Build Course Posted on: Fri, 3 Nov 2006 23:30:27 +0000 (UTC)

What: Design and Build a Green Home and Garden in the Tropics

Where: Paraiso, Costa Rica

Who: El Centro Verde, environmental research and demonstration
institute. "Teaching ecological literacy and sustainable solutions to
the next generation of earth stewards."

When: March 3 -16, 2007

Enjoy two beautiful weeks in the NW penninsula of Costa Rica while
learning about creating sustainable second or vacation homes and
stimulating local economies.

This course focuses on reducing the housing footprint to the lowest
possible level while still providing comfort and beauty as we build a
model "jungle bungalow". This prototype structure is part of a "green"
community along the Pacific Coast in Guanacaste Costa Rica.

Ecological designers, applied agricultural ecologists, and
entrepreneurs join together to teach a holistic approach to designing
and building a home and fostering a lifestyle with minimal impact,
while creating sustainable economic opportunity.

This is the ideal experience for those interested in an ecological
approach to creating a second or vacation home or for those studying
conservation development, permaculture or agroforestry. For

insitution's website at www.ElCentroVerde.org (live after 11/6).

Best,
Kelsy Raap
