Agreed. I too have driven an easy 100k miles in Mexico, in my Ford F150,
frequently pulling a trailer, and on my motorcycles, all with California
plates. But I've also driven vehicles owned by Mexican friends. While I have
paid many a mordida over the years, there has never been one that I didn't
earn. Additionally, I find my Mexican friends get harrassed more than the
gringos, because they are more familiar with the system and are actually
easier marks for the cops.
In short, I've never felt I was picked on just because of my California
plates or the fact that I am a gringo......Howard
