Subject: Traveling from Santiago to Chaiten in Chile Posted on: Tue, 12 Dec 2006 00:54:22 +0000 (UTC)

I want to travel from Santiago, Chile to Chaiten, Chile, and I would
prefer ground travel. I can get to Puerto Montt by bus or train, but
then I'm stumped. Sometimes, it seems that I can use a catamaran or a
ferry, but the information on the internet is quite variable. Does
anybody know if it is possible to get to Chaiten from Puerto Montt
other than by plane in late December of this year?
