Subject: first (and last minute!) trip to Mexico Posted on: Wed, 14 Feb 2007 23:40:20 +0000 (UTC)

My wife and I decided at the last minute to fly to Mexico City this
Saturday, returning on Friday, 2/23. We normally don't do things like
this, especially to someplace we've never been before.

We can use some help from you experienced Mexican hands.

Our tentative plan, such as it is, is to spend a day or two in Mexico
City seeing some of the notable tourist sites and museums, and then
heading out, but not too far away, for a place to take it relatively
easy. Not our usual way, but that's what this trip will be.

For this, we were thinking of Morelia or Queretaro, perhaps
Guanajuato. (How long would this take from Mexico City?)

Any suggestions, advice, etc. most appreciated!
