It's not so much about exposure to the disease that is the real issue here
but documentation required to cross borders. Going from Peru ( if you have
been into the highlands) into Brazil may well see you denied entry if you
can't show proof of a yellowfever jab. Even coming back into Aussie without
a yellowfever cert. can be a problem if 6 days prior to your arrrival here
you've been in a yellowfever endemic zone. Unfortunately ( for Alan at
least) I think the yellowfever vacc. is a live
serum.
