I assume you're looking for a _real_ panama hat. They're imported from
Ecuador and you should be able to find them in or around any large mercado.
The "panama" hats made in the Yucatan are made from a different plant and
are really a pale imatation of the real deal. They should also be readily
available in or around any large mercado.

I've been to Hecelchakcan. I didn't see anything there that was really
worth more than $25, at most, and you can generally pick them up for far
less. I have both the Yucatan "panama" hats and the Ecuadorian panama hats.
The Ecuadorian version is far superior.
