I'd fly to Guadalajara. There's lots of things to see, besides other
tourists....
You can hire an English speaking cab driver for a reasonable price,
and visit all the sights without the hassle of taking public
transportation to varied locations.
The town of Tequila is amazing. The mezcal ranchos are like the wine
county. Most of the distilleries offer free tours...
You'll never look at a bottle of tequila the same again!
The Hotel Frances is an interesting place to stay. It was built in
1615, and it's in the heart of town. Sometimes it's a bargain, and
sometimes not?
Guadalajara is a real Mexican City, and Morelia is less than five
hours away.....
Get a guidebook, and see if it's "your kind of place"......
