This may be true when renting a car in the US. However, in Mexico most
non-Mexican auto insurance is not recognized. It doesn't matter if you
have a super-duper platinum credit card with a cherry on top. If it's
not recognized, then it's the same as if you aren't carrying insurance
for the liability coverage offered by your credit card.
