Subject: Choquequirao Posted on: Thu, 29 May 2008 16:50:59 +0000 (UTC)

I'll be in Cuzco, Peru in a few weeks and I hope to see Choquequirao.
I have read that a taxi will take you as far as Cachora from Cuzco.
After that, I understand it is a rigorous trek down one mountain,
across a river, and up another. My question is -- where can I hire a
guide? How much should I expect to pay? It will just be myself and
one travelling companion, unless we happen to meet up with likeminded
adventurers along the way. I'd appreciate information from anyone who
has been to Choquiquirao before. Thanks!
