There are shuttle buses (vans and minivans) going back and forth. Your
hotel can advise you best, but here's one listing I found. Most hotels will
arrange your pick-up and return if you're staying with them (You pay, of
course). Medellin has gone far in the last 8 years or so in cleaning up
their safety image, and taxis are no longer thought to be unsafe. In town,
the Metro and local buses are clean, modern and efficient when you're going
farther than you care to walk.
Laureles, by the way, is a nice neighborhood; it's attractive, friendly, and
on level ground, so you won't feel like you're climbing an Alp everywhere
you go.
Aerotaxi
Taxis and vans. Airport Shuttle to International Airport Jose Maria Cordova.
