Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay Kayaking
Today we depart hotel at 8h00 and drive towards Halong Bay, truly one
of Vietnam's most scenic impressive sights. On arrival in Halong Town
we are welcomed on a traditional junk with a refreshing drink and get
some boat information as well as kayak orientation. This is time for
us to settle into a private comfortable cabin and unpack for a three
days exploring Halong Bay. The traditional boat cruises through Dinh
Huong island , Ga Choi island, Sung Sot cave before it anchors at Soi
Sim area, giving us a free hand kayaking. We row our kayak past the
limestone karst formations which are littered with beaches and
beautiful caves. At sunset we regroup at the escort boat for
relaxation and dinner. The night paddle is available for kayaking
fervors. O/N on board. (B,L,D)
Day 2: Halong Bay - Cua Van - Ba Ham Kayaking
The sailing junks navigating past over 3,000 limestone islands and
outcrops jutting out of the clear and emerald water of the bay make
for a marvelous scene. We have an option to get up early to admire the
splendid landscape and see the fishmen on a morning catch. The huge
breakfast is an impressive way to start our active day. We cruise
towards Ba Ham area for the second kayaking. Today we paddle around
this scenic zone at our pace to explore the mystical rock formations,
hidden caves and many secluded lagoons. The kayaking is not only
activity in places. You have plenty of time for you own pleasure;
swimming or simply soaking up the sunshine. O/N on board. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Halong Bay Kayaking - Hanoi
Upon living our last night stop area, we navigate towards Luon Cave to
spend a few more hours rowing our kayak. The traditional escort boat
passes by many outcrops of various shapes and sizes before delivering
us near the kayaking area. We begin paddling across Man Head and Rua
rocks. These imposing islets are aptly named by their distinctive
shapes. By mid morning we complete our exciting kayaking adventure and
arrange our luggage to cruise back to the Halong pier. The shuttle bus
will pick us up for a return journey. The trip ends after arrival in
Hanoi. (B,L)
CRUISE INFORMATION:
There are some main differences on the boat/junk types as the
following:
Space on the boat, with the standard one - you would have to expect
small size boat, from your bedroom to the sun deck, whilst the
Superior & Deluxe class will have larger sized dining area that is
warm and cozy, more importantly with comfort in your cabins (larger
bed, bigger glassed window) as well as the sunbath area (with
comfortable chairs)
Toilet & shower on boat/junk, if you wish to have comfort in your
privacy, Standard boat will not be a choice since the toilet is
normally outside (shared bathrooms), while Superior will offer this
and you will even find it better at Deluxe class.
Facilities on the Superior and Deluxe boat are up-to-date
international standard, good air-conditioning in the cabin, fine
toilet facilities whilst there is normally a fan in the cabin at the
standard boat.
Well trained, devoted and courtesy staff will always make your stay
unforgettable on the Superior and Deluxe junk.
Halong Bay is beautiful and we suggest enjoy it in Superior or Deluxe
Junk, paying a bit more but you will find it worth every cents you pay
for.
