Before we discovered the nicer but much further away Temaiken Zoo, we
visited the "Jardin Zoologico" (Buenos Aires Zoo) located in the
Palermo neighborhood of BsAs.
It was only about $12 pesos for the general ticket or $22 for the
"pasaporte" that gets you into the special attractions.
The weather was a bit gray on the day that we visited, but it was
still a nice experience to see the 100's of animals. Another
interesting part is that visitors are allowed to feed many of the
animals such as the camels, goats, and I think even the chimps.

If you have the time, I highly recommend making the trip out to
Escobar to see the Temaiken Zoo. But if you only have a few days, the
Buenos Aires Zoo is a nice relaxing day out.
