For us... my wife and I really love the Rio bars at night, so we stayed
in the Copa area. If your interested in a more conservative tlfestyle
maybe Ipanema would be better.

We paid $60.00 a night with a great breakfast included just off the Ave
Atlantica. and roof pool,
We didnt really want less of a hotel particularly as we often got back
late at night and appreciated the doorman being there, crime is a big
factor.

We arranged our air to Manaus from here in the US it is much cheaper..
We also flew to Leticia on the border and loved it
