There is a rental car agency in San Miguel, with the usual high Mexican
prices. We decided not to rent a car.

Dolores Hildago has history and ceramics. Queretero is a big city, but
nice, and has some good museums. Guanajuato is one of my favorite
places, lots of history, nice to walk in, but extremely difficult to
drive in. The last time I drove into Guanajato, I was smart and hired a
taxi to lead us to our hotel, and then parked the car for the duration.
You can take the bus from San miguel to any of these towns, and then use
taxis to get from the bus station to where you want to go in town.
