Are you asian? stick to the more tourist friendly places, or you can take a chance and try to hang out in the hood;
though I'm sure a fight would find you in no time, given the macho tendencies of the latino men. I never saw asians
in the puerto-rican clubs in nyc, nor in the east l.a. clubs, where it really happens, the real 'hot spots', or an
asian dancing salsa. maybe jackie chan will attempt that in his next crappy movie.
better idea: learn Spanish, and go visit the various latin countries. You'll enjoy yourself much more, probably.
