Subject: Currency problems in Mexico city Posted on: Thu, 18 Sep 2003 00:06:03 EDT

I recently travelled from Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City and found that
nowhere would except money (bills) with even the slightest tear in it. I
had one 200 peso note with a tear which I measured at 3 millimetres long and
could not spend it anywhere.

I did not find the same problem anywhere else in Mexico.

Has anyone else had this experience?
