Hello...if you love salsa you'll love Cuba. There are some night
clubs such as Le Select, El palacio de la Salsa (I'm afraid the name
was changed), El Parisine which is like a Las Vegas show. Ask the taxi
drivers, they'll all know which is the hot spot...don't miss the salsa
Bands such as Los Van Van, Issac Delgado, La Charanga Habanera. Ask
people if they know about any street dancing, 'cause you wiil be able
to see cubans dancing live!
Since there are some restrictions (mainly economical) cubans don't go
out to night clubs easily. This is a tip... if you meet a person you
want to go out with...be aware (the more likely) you'll have to pay
for his or her expenses since the economic crisis.
I've been traveling to Cuba since 1996, I'm married to a cuban, love
salsa and have taken dancing lesson at the Escuela Nacional de Artes.
You'll find people very open and this is not going to be your last
trip as long as you undestand and enjoy the lifestyle in Cuba. |
