Well, I haven't been down there, but it's supposed to be one of the
'alternative' places in Brazil. There isn't much in southern Bahia
like there is in Northern Bahia and around Salvador; by going there
surely you must pass Salvador on the way. I have spent two weeks there
and didn't get bored, so try to sightsee when you are there.

I've been told that in Arraial dŽAjuda even the police smoke dope, so if
you are from the Netherlands, think Amsterdam coffeeshops by the beach
and you are probably halfway there. I understand there is a water park
with slides if you feel active at all.
