Mar de Cortez is a good budget hotel, off the beach (about a block from Cabo
Wabo and Giggling Marlin), full of American fishermen, surfers and
budget-conscious travelers.

http://www.mardecortez.com/ It's definitely NOT in the class of the Finisterra
(I've stayed at both places several times) but it's a helluva lot cheaper.
