Flew Aerocontinente to Ayacucho and Cuzco, both orginating in Lima. Lima to
Ayacucho and back was fine even on full planes. Flying from Lima to Cuzco
was okay, but leaving from Cuzco was a joke. For some reason you were
supposed to "reconfirm" your return flight to Lima. Aerocontinente had an
office in the Plaze de Armas that must have been run by a pair of monkeys,
or at least people of similar competence. We duly reconfirmed, then got the
the Cuzco airport the next morning at least 2 hours before our scheduled
flight out. It was a zoo, with more monkeys at the counter. There was a
huge line of people who wanted to go to Lima and lots of people ignored the
line and swarmed the counter clamoring for boarding passes.
We got out of Cuzco when scheduled, but I know that a lot of people got left
behind.
