Thanks for your help. From my early research it looks like Varig will
be the cheapest to go with. They have a special off-peak rate of $672
rtn out of Los Angeles.
To answer your question my girlfriend recently joined the peace corps
and has been stationed in Paraguay, hence my eagerness to visit.
