Subject: Day of the Dead Music Posted on: Tue, 2 Dec 2003 20:13:13 +0000 (UTC)

Hi there-
I was in Oaxaca, Mexico for the "Day of the Dead' celebrations this
year and I heard the most incredible music, however, I do not know
what it was called or if there is a cd out there I can buy with it on
it. Does anybody know of a name I might search for or where I can
purchase it? Also, about 4 a.m. on Nov 2nd, there were the loudest
fireworks I think I ever heard which awoke me from my sleep only to
then listen to the whole neighborhood signing a "Happy Birthday" song
(non-americanized version) to the saint of the neighborhood, any ideas
on what this might be called as well would be a great help.
Thanks,
William
