I strongly suggest you to try Watkins insect repellent. It's only 28% DEET, but
works *much* better than anything else. Countless foresters (including myself)
use it in Quebec's forests. In fact, I know of no forester using something else
after having tried it. Very effective against black flies, mosquitoes and such.
Nothing works against deer flies though. As a plus: it doesn't smell bad. I've
never tried the spray version, but the lotion does the job...
