You have an infant. I wouldn't worry about too much traveling around.
Let somebody else do the driving if you're sightseeing.......
On the hotel strip, buses run about every 15 mins, and only cost
about 50 cents per person.
You can arrange at your hotel, plenty of day trips. Tulum / Xel Ha,
or Isla Mujeres, are good ones for a 1st timer..
Just relax, and enjoy the warm weather. Watch out so the little ones
don't get sunburned at the beach!
