If travelling from city to city and using taxis, take a wheeled
suitcase. However, they don't last long on cobblestoane streets.
If hoofing it, I prefer to use my backpack suitcase. It is made by
American Tourister. It has the main case with two outer front pockets
for the smaller quickly needed items and zipper pockets for tickets,
maps, papers etc. When the straps are tucked away it looks like any
other softside carryon suitcase. The suitcase has both the shoulder
and a waist straps. With the waist strap I can walk all day with a
full case, and I'm 62 years old! See previous comment below regarding
fit and waist strap.
