I'm not familier with the Guijarros but the Maya used to be the best
hotel in Honduras and is still one of the top five. However if you
haven't already, consider Minister Suites http://www.ministersuites.com/

Newer, same amenities and some the Maya doesn't have. At only $80/day it
is quite affordable too.
