Trekking, visiting National Parks in Colombia are not on the itinerary
of most people who travel to Colombia due to safety reasons. But if
you are informed well and avoid the bad area's this can be an amazing
experience. I have been traveling in Colombia a bit and still am and
visited several national or natural parks. I have done some trekking
in PN Sierra Nevada del Cocuy (where I am going now again) and in the
end of Februari I will climb Tolima (5300m) in the Los Nevados
National Park.
If you happen to be around Bogota or Los Nevados in the end of
Februari and want to climb Tolima too, send me an email.
To Tolima and also the time I went to Cocuy I went with an
organization in Bogota. It is not a travel agency or something but
more like an adventure group. You don't pay the high prices and you
don't get the high standard of service but you get to see the nice
places in amazing scenery.
If you want to do some trekking or visiting National Parks but needs
some more info, give me an email or check my site:
